Mickey Colburn wins Volunteer of the Year Award

The Duffy Simpson Volunteer of the Award for our 2023/2024 season went to Mickey Colburn. For decades Mickey has (almost always) been the first person to put her hand up to help new curlers, tirelessly runs our Junior Learn To Curl Program for school kids on Tuesday and Friday mornings, is a past board member, has run our bonspiels, helps rental groups, and is perhaps our most obvious lover of all things curling. Also, a pretty great curler herself. She somehow keeps Dennis in line too, perhaps her greatest feat. Well done and THANK YOU MICKEY! Mickey will be invited to represent the CVCC and Team Canada at next year’s International Tankard.
